This aromatic bitter is great for cocktail and tonic drinks.
Yield: 2 Servings
- 1½ oz Rum
- 1 oz Grand Marnier
- 3 pcs Grapefruit
- 1 oz Oolong tea
- ½ tbps Gentian root
- 2 oz Pomegranate Syrup
Mix all of the ingredients in the jar. Shake properly.
Store jar in a cool dry, dark place.
After 3 days, strain jar for sediments. Let it sit for another 10 days and strain again.
Add all the mixture to a dropper.
To make the Oolong tea, the leaves of Camellia sinensis should get partially oxidized.
The oxidation degree varies from 10% to 80%. The longer the leaves are oxidized, the more the taste resembles the black tea. But a little oxidation process is enough to bring out the flavor the leaves have. The most famous and the beautiful oolong tea types are produced in China and Taiwan. However there are other countries who started to produce it; Japan, India and Nepal.
Grand Marnier is a liqueur brand contains orange aroma. It’s originated in France and has 40% alcohol by volume. It is like Cointreau in terms of the taste which is also originated in France.
